Ever since Netflix launched in the UK there has been mumbling in the corners about the lack of content compared to the US version of the service. Thankfully you can get around this problem by using the following trick.
I use service called Unlocator to get access to US Netflix – all while still using my original UK Netflix account. Here is a quickstep guide:
- First create a free Unlocator trial
- Follow the setup guide for the PlayStation
- Restart the PlayStation
- Open Netflix on the PlayStation and you now have US Netflix
That is all there is to it. You can easily change to UK Netflix by changing your preferred Netflix region on the Unlocator site.
How Unlocator allows you to Watch US Netflix on Your PlayStation in the UK
Unlocator uses the fact that your UK Netflix account is just the same as the US counterpart. The only thing that determines the content you can watch with your account is your location. 
Netflix determines your location via the data flow happening between your PlayStation and the Netflix servers. Unlocator fakes the location of these requests to appear to come from the US and as a consequence your PlayStation will load the US edition of Netflix.
The cool thing about this method is that your Internet speed remains the same and on top of that you can change to any version of Netflix you like. You are not restricted to only the UK or US version. You can access Netflix from any of the regions where Netflix operates.
Get US Netflix on Other Devices Apart From the PlayStation 3

Get Netflix From Any Netflix Region in the UK
As mentioned above you can get Netflix from not only the US but also from any other region where Netflix is currently available. This means that you can jump from a Brazilian soap to a Danish drama in no time.
Simply log in to your account on the Unlocator website and select “channel settings” and select the new Netflix region you want to watch – after a restart you will not receive content from the new region.
